Caring For Your Swarovski Crystal
The quality of Swarovski's crystal in all its forms means that with care it should give you years of pleasure. You should never use harsh cleansers or abrasive cloths on any of your crystals.
To clean hanging crystals and hanging crystal cadcades use a warm water with a mild detergent to remove any dust and then rinse in warm water. Dunk the crystal rather than rubbing it with any cloth or leaving it to soak. Most dust and dirt should come off this way; if there are marks that don't come off then rub them off gently with your finger. If the chain has tarnished then remove it if you can from the jewellery, cascade or hanging crystal and use a silver cleaning cloth to remove the tarnish. If you can't remove the chain carefully clean the chain with the silver cleaning cloth avoiding the crystal . Either leave to air dry or using a soft clean tea towel or duster gently dry.
Swarovski Crystal Jewellery should occasionally be polished with a soft lint free cloth. If it becomes very dirty you can clean it as above. Do not use commerial jewellery cleaners, sonic cleaners or boiling water. Prevention is far better than cure - You can find more detail in the Jewellery Care guide.
The Swarovski Simulated Pearls should never be immersed in water. It is a good idea to put your Swarovski Crystal jewellery on as the final stage of getting dressed. Perfumes, hair-spray and body creams will not do your Swarovski crysal jewellery any good.
